2025 Summer Reading Program

“Color Our World" at the Skowhegan Free Public Library

What is the summer reading challenge?
This summer, our goal is to inspire you to try some new activities, and maybe expand your reading horizons in the process.  We'll be doing our yearly Bingo board filled with activities and reading suggestions (don't worry no specific book requirements) and we'll also have some great programming centered around you!

Can I participate in the Summer Reading Program?

Anyone with a library card can participate in the Bingo! To do so, you just pick up a Bingo card at the library, then bring it in when you get a Bingo for some fabulous local prizes (limit 3 per person). For most of our programs though, having a library card is not necessary!  Just stop by to see what we're up to! Residents of Skowhegan get free library cards, non-residents pay a $25.00 annual fee.

How do I register?

You can register at the library anytime starting June 2nd. All you need to do is fill out a small form with your information, pick up a Bingo card, and you're ready to go!

The events page below will feature programs geared towards adults. All of our summer reading program events will also be posted on Facebook, our events page, and the main landing page for the Summer Reading Program. Don't forget to get your Bingo card so you can win some prizes this summer! Happy Reading!
