Author Talk w/ J.E. McCarthy

Ten-time award-winning author Jonathan McCarthy is a Madison native with a deep appreciation for the state's rich characters and natural beauty. Central Maine is the setting for his novels and the places of his childhood feature prominently in his storytelling.

Jon is a behavioral health nurse by trade. He likes to explore the complexities of human relationships and the ways in which people and families are shaped by their surroundings. He is particularly interested in the unique culture and history of Maine, and many of their stories are set in small towns and rural communities throughout the state.
