Skowhegan Woman's Club Winter Craft Series
Various Dates, from 10am-12pm
Join the Skowhegan Woman's Club for their biweekly craft workshops beginning in January! We have two sessions of cake decorating coming up in February, followed by a fun day of St. Patrick's Day bingo and card making and then a spring floral arrangement workshop in March to top of this series of craft programs! So if you're interested we'd encourage you to call or stop by the library to sign up, as registration is required for these events.
GAMES, GAMES, GAMES!
Come check out (and yes, we mean you can actually CHECK OUT) our newly acquired stash of board games, cards games, trivia games, and more!
We have TONS of classics, as well as more modern games available for your family to try their hand at.
You can check them out just like a library book or DVD, for 3 whole weeks!
All boards, cards, game pieces, and instructions come included.
Want a book and can't find it anywhere in our catalog? That's alright, just ask for an inter-library loan! Our ILL librarian Francoise is an expert at finding the books you need, wherever they may be located.
As these items do come on loan to us from other libraries across the state, we do require that patrons requesting ILLs have a current, up-to-date library card with us for at least two months, and be in good standing with our own collection materials during that period.
To request an ILL, please call the library at 474-9072 or stop in to Francoise's office (Mon, Tues, Wed from 10-2 or Thurs, Fri 10-3) or the front desk to have your ILL form filled out.
If you are looking for a way to read your favorite books from your phone, tablet, or computer, look no further than cloudLibrary!
As long as you have a current, up-to-date library card with us we can help you set up your eBook account on cloudLibrary and you can get straight to reading that book you've been waiting on!
cloudLibrary works about the same as a regular library. If someone else has "checked out" an eBook already, it will be put on hold for your account until a copy becomes available.
Just stop by our front desk to get your cloudLibrary account set up and ready to read!
Every month, we put out a brand new version of our newsletter, the Library Lookout!
Included are past, current, and upcoming programs, fundraisers, special events (and much more!). Also included is a copy of our calendar for the next two months, for you convenience.
Grab a paper copy from any of our circulation desks, or take a peek at the digital version by clicking on the PDF icon below!
